Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 in the Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became her coach later on she discovered her when she was six. The first time she competed was at the national junior championships which she finished 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, she was crowned champion. The first time she competed in an international competition in a preolympics junior competition for countries in the Communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she was named the all-around Junior Champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals in her debut competition as a senior which took place in the year 1975. This was her first time she participated as a senior. She became the first female to do a reverse double salo on the uneven parallel bar when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she started appearing on touring shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol's professional career started in the entertainment industry during her teenage year. She began her career when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating shows.
